LETHA M. BRYANT

Aug. 14, 1923-Dec. 26, 2008

Evangelist Letha Moore Bryant was born in Wayne County on Aug. 14, 1923 to the late Mallie Moore and the late Ida Atkinson Moore. She departed this life on Friday, Dec. 26, 2008, in Charlotte, where she had resided since August 1998. A homegoing celebration will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Mt. Zion Bible Church of God in Princeton with Bishop Clarence B. Richardson officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Old Mill Cemetery.

She leaves to cherish her memories three daughters, Annie Bryant Eason (Nester) of Princeton, Dr. Peggy Bryant Kelley (Benjamin) of Forrestville, Md. and Ruby Bryant Atkinson (Curtis Sr.) of Charlotte; six sons, Adolphus Bryant Jr. (Carolyn) of Princeton, Lonnie Bryant of Smithfield, Paul Bryant of Goldsboro, Walter Ray Bryant of Raleigh, Michael Shermond Bryant (Phyllis) of Charlotte and Kenneth Lorenzo Bryant of Morganton; 39 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

There will an inspirational wake held on Friday from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Mt. Zion Bible Church of God, Princeton. Sympathetic expression may be emailed to rhodesfh1@aol.com. A sympathetic and dignified service is entrusted to Rhodes Funeral Home, Goldsboro.
