Mrs. Bada Marie Suggs Allen, 82, lovingly known by her family and church friends as "Bee," 6621 Speight School Road, Wilson, entered into eternal rest on Monday at her residence.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday at 1 p.m. at St. Mary's Free Will Baptist Church, 6498 Highway 903 S., LaGrange, with elder Antonio Blow officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park Cemetery. Also, a viewing will be held today at Hamilton Funeral Chapel, 423 S. James St., from 4 to 8. A wake will be conducted this evening from 6 to 8 at Hamilton Funeral Chapel with the family present to receive other family members and friends.

Bee was born Nov. 30, 1926, in Greene County, to the late James "Jim" and Lillie Mae Johnson Suggs.

In 1948, she was married to the late Leroy Allen of the Jason Community, who preceded her in death.

Bee was employed at Cherry Hospital in Goldsboro in 1958, until her retirement.

"Mother Bee" was a faithful and loving servant at St. Mary's Free Will Baptist Church, working out her own soul salvation. She was a member of the Mother's Board, Senior Choir, and working closely with the youth.

Left to cherish her loving memory are two daughters, Janice Ray and husband, William, Josie-Allen James and husband, Emmanuel; one son, Melvin L. Williams and wife, Polly; one sister, Eloise Edwards; five sisters-in-law; two aunts, Sallie Suggs Harper and Bessie Suggs Yelverton; one adopted daughter, Mary Pitt and husband, Daryl; five grandchildren, Letitia Allen Best and husband, Bobby, Dexter Ray and wife, Cookie, Travis Ray, Earnest Wiliams and Melvin Williams Jr.; 17 great-grandchildren; nine stepgrandchildren; two special sisters-in-law, Dorothy Suggs and Sarah Sykes; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

At other times, the family will receive friends at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Emmanuel James, 1303 Hamilton Drive, Goldsboro, N.C., 27530.
