TERRENCE E. "TERRY" HATCH

Terrence Ervin "Terry" Hatch, 59, of Berkley Boulevard, passed away at home on Tuesday, Dec. 23.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Vernon Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the Parker-Flowers Cemetery in Mount Olive.

Born in Indiana, he was the son of the late Robert Fleming and Edna Ellis Hatch. He attended Providence United Methodist Church and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was a former deputy with the Wayne County Sheriff's Department, formerly employed with Raleigh Federal Savings in Mount Olive and was a former Wayne County magistrate.

Mr. Hatch is survived by a son, Kevin Hatch of Goldsboro; a daughter, Jamie Hatch Smith of Des Moines, Iowa; three brothers, Robert Hatch of Georgia, Larry Hatch of South Carolina, Steven Hatch of Florida; a sister, Teresa Miller of Tennessee; one grandchild, Hayden Smith; a special friend, Aubrey Jones of Goldsboro; and his best friend, Stan Flowers of Virginia.

Family members will greet friends Sunday evening from 7 until 9 at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home.
