ROSA MAE CANADY

Rosa Mae Morgan Canady, 97, of The Pines of Goldsboro, died Friday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church with Dr. Glenn Phillips Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Wayne Memorial Park.

Born in Johnston County, she was the daughter of the late Lether and Oma Bailey Morgan and wife of the late Newett H. Canady. She was the oldest living member of First Baptist Church in Goldsboro, having been a member for over 70 years.

Mrs. Canady is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Joanne Canady of Clayton; two daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Garlon Pittman of Goldsboro; Shirley and Jennings Wagoner of Charlottesville, Va.; a sister, Pauline Justice of Lumberton; six grandsons; one granddaughter; four great-grandsons and seven great-granddaughters.

Family members will greet friends Monday from 10 until 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church and at other times at the home of her daughter, Brenda Pittman, 4608 Wayne Memorial Drive.
