Laura Juanita Barfield, 83, a resident of the Brian Center, died Wednesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
She was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Varo Oates Jarman.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at the St. Luke Church of Christ Disciples of Christ, Mount Olive with the Rev. Johnnie A. McKoy officiating. Burial will follow in the Carver Cemetery.
Cherished memories will linger in the hearts of her children, Walter "Ronnie" Barfield, Doris and husband, George, Wilson, Annette and husband, Joseph McDonald, Mary and husband, Johnnie, McKoy, Stephene and husband, Ashley, Cox and Brigette Barfield; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends today from 3 until 5 p.m. at the Garris Funeral Home Chapel and at other times at the home of Johnnie and Mary McKoy 1205 Porter St. Goldsboro.
