THEODORE BEST

Mr. Theodore Best, 81, lovingly known by his family and friends as "Boy," 121 Sandy Drive, departed this walk of life on Monday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Hamilton Funeral Chapel, 423 S. James St., with the Rev. Charlie Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in the Wayne Memorial Park, North Cemetery, 1191 Old Grantham Road. A viewing will be held on today from 1 to 6 at Hamilton Funeral Chapel. Also, a wake will be conducted at Hamilton Funeral Chapel tonight from 5 to 6 with the family present to receive other family members and friends.

Theodore was born June 3, 1926, in Greene County to the late Albert and Laura Bryant Best.

Mr. Best answered the call of our country and enlisted into the United States Navy on Dec. 11, 1944. He was a veteran of World War II and served his country with honorable leadership and sound examples.

Three sisters, Annie Mae Best McNair, Mrs. Vandora Best Sampson and Emma Jane Best; and two brothers, Eddie Lee Best and James Albert Best preceded Theodore in death.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories his wife of 59 years, Mrs. Lillian Hamilton Best of the home; one brother- in-law, Ernest Hamilton and wife, Shelia of Goldsboro; one sister-in-law, Aratha Moye and husband, Joe of Goldsboro; two special nieces, Brenda Hamilton and Aileen Rowe both of Goldsboro; and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

At other times, the family will receive friends at the residence of Mrs. Lillian Best, 121 Sandy Drive, Goldsboro, N.C., 27534.
