LADELL B. PATE

FREMONT -- Ladell Barnes Pate, 80, passed away Wed-
nesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Goldsboro.
Graveside services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Elmwood Cemetery in Fremont. Pastor H. Powell Dew Jr. will officiate.
Mrs. Pate was a native of Fremont born on Aug. 19, 1928, to the late Meekie and Nannie Barnes.
She is survived by one son, Leland Kimble Pate and his wife, Gale, of Fremont; one daughter, Kathy P. Newman and her husband, Mike, of Fremont; three sisters, Ruby B. Brown of Fremont, Daphne B. Fulkerson of Fremont and Marjorie B. Singleton of Portsmouth, Va.; five grandchildren, Kris, Shanna and her husband, Jason, Lisa and her husband, Jonathan, Allison, and Lindsey and her husband, Trey; and two great-grandchildren, Nathan and Logan.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Pate was preceded in death by her husband, Leland Ray Pate and one sister, Dixie B. Edmundson.
The family will receive friends following the graveside service on Saturday.
