BEAR GRASS -- Peggy Mobley Bailey, 74, 1133 Knox Lane, died Tuesday in Williamston.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 3:30 p.m. at Biggs Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bryant Hines officiating. Burial will follow at Martin Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held tonight from 7 to 8:30 at Rose of Sharon Free Will Baptist Church, 8000 Bear Grass Road in Robersonville.
She was the daughter of the late John Daniel and Viola Bowen Mobley.
She was a member of Rose of Sharon Free Will Baptist Church and featured columnist in the Enterprise for over 40 years.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Maehue Bailey; son, the Rev. Gary M. Bailey and wife, Kristie, of Goldsboro; daughter, Beverly B. Rogerson and husband, Glenn, of Bear Grass; sister, Mildred M. Moye of Virginia; grandchildren, Suzanne Wise and husband, Anthony, Justin M. Bailey, Kevin Rogerson and wife, Lynn and Chad Rogerson; five great-granddaughters; sister-in-law, Ruth Ward of Goldsboro; and many nieces and nephews.
Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to Rose of Sharon Free Will Baptist Church.
