Miriam Valentine Flowers, 79, 1217 Franklin passed from labor to eternal reward on Saturday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 1 p.m. at St. Mark Church of Christ with Bishop Alton Smith officiating. She will be laid to rest in Wayne Memorial Park North.
She leaves a wealth of precious memories to her children, Audrey Jones of Jamaica, N.Y., Verlyn Flanagan of Baltimore, Md., Rita Lewis of Alexandria, Va., Nadine Lewis of Woodbridge, Va., Jonathan Lewis of Jamaica, N.Y., Brenda Boothe, of Goldsboro, Bennie Flowers of Jacksonville; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held today from 2 to 6 with the family present to receive friends from 5 to 6 at McIntyre Funeral Home Ministries. The family will receive friends at other times at the residence where they will also assemble in preparation for the funeral procession.
