SPILLMAN W. GRICE

Spillman Wadsworth Grice, 86, passed away on Monday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Graveside services with Masonic rites will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park with the Rev. Dr. Fred Clarke presiding.

Spillman was born on Dec. 7, 1922, to the late Clarence Grice and Katie Wadsworth Grice. He was retired manager of the Fast Fare convenience stores and a member of the First Christian Church. Spillman was a Shriner and a member of the Goldsboro Masonic Lodge No. 634 A.F. and A.M.

Spillman is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Wyatt Grice; his son, Spillman W. Grice Jr. and wife, Shirley of Kinston; his daughter, Phyllis Woodard and husband, Charles of Goldsboro; his stepchildren, Glen M. Taylor and wife, Deanna, of Milton and Carolyn T. Edmundson and husband, Dean, of Goldsboro; seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Masonic Home for Children, 600 College St., Oxford, N.C., 27565.

The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at his home, 306 S. Andrews Ave., Goldsboro.
