Jimmy Johnson Yelverton, 47, 104 Raynor St., died Sunday at his residence.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the Mount Zion Church Ministries with apostle Edwin Newsome officiating. He will be laid to rest in Elmwood Cemetery.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Takeya Williams of Raleigh, Detwan Jones of Goldsboro; mother, Mae Gladys Yelverton; sisters, Louise (Rodney Sims) Yelverton and Regina Coley, both of Goldsboro; brothers, pastor Robert (Wende) Yelverton and William (Joyce) Yelverton, both of Goldsboro; two grandchildren; and nine nephews and nieces.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 2 to 6 p.m. at McIntyre Funeral Home Ministries of Goldsboro. The family will receive friends at all times at 710 Buckswamp Road where they will also assemble in preparation for the funeral procession.
