WAKE FOREST -- Mary Elizabeth Grant Holland, 74, died Saturday evening at Rex Hospital.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home with the Dr. Tommy Seedorf officiating. Burial will follow in Selma Memorial Gardens.

Born June 9, 1934, in Wayne County to the late Edgar Franklin and Maggie Best Grant, she was the widow of Charles Thomas Holland and was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Elliott.

Mary was a member of the Woodland Baptist Church and the former owner/operator of the Iris Fashion Dress Shop in Clayton for several years during the 80's and 90's.

Surviving are her sons, Curtis Holland of Lynchburg, Va. and Gregory Holland and wife, Kimberley of Wake Forest; brother, Elvin Grant of Goldsboro; and two granddaughters, Brittany Holland and Ashley Holland.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association, 3131 RDU Center Drive, Morrisville, N.C., 27560.
