DUDLEY -- Sarah "Sue" Lewis, 62, 1772 Sleepy Creek Road, died early Thursday morning at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. at Emmaus Baptist Church with the Rev. Johnny Sasser officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

She was born in Duplin County to Margaret Oates Martin of Faison and the late Ralph Coley.

A member of Emmaus Baptist Church, she was retired from Boling Chair Company.

She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Gene Martin.

Mrs. Lewis is survived by her husband, Rod Lewis of Dudley; two sons, Charles Edward Sutton Jr. of Dudley and Perry Bizzell Sutton of Faison; one daughter, Betty Sue Cowlishaw of Ogdon, Utah; one stepson, Rodney D. Lewis Jr. of Clinton; one stepdaughter, Clara Lynette Williams of Clinton; three brothers, Ralph Coley of Pine Level, Eugene Martin of Faison and Hugh B. Martin of Faison; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

The family will be receiving friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home and at other times will be at the home.
