LaGRANGE -- Eugene Thomas "Gene" Colie, 74, of LaGrange, died Friday.
A service of remembrance will be today at 2 p.m. at Rouse Funeral Home, with Dr. Mallie Hinnant officiating. A private interment will be held at Fairview Cemetery.
He was born June 24, 1934, in Lenoir County to the late Julian Day Colie Sr. and Hannah Wilson Colie.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy Bryan Colie; and three children.
The family will receive friends today following the service.
