WILSON -- Evangelist Ethel D. Artis, 73, of 610 Grove St., Wilson, died Sunday at her residence.
Services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at L.N. Forbes Original Free Will Baptist Tabernacle at 1800 Lane St. Ext. Interment will follow in the Rest Haven Cemetery, Lane Street Ext.
She leaves a legacy of love and dedication to her husband, Jesse Artis; three step-daughters; two step-sons; four sisters; two aunts; and grandchildren nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends.
A viewing will take place today from 3 until 5:30 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Chapel at 726 Tarboro St. S.W., with the family present later in the evening to receive friends at L.N. Forbes Tabernacle from 7 until 9. All other times the family will receive friends at the residence where they will also assemble one hour prior to the service.
