MOREHEAD CITY -- Brenda Rose Barwick Jones, 63, formerly of Raleigh, passed away Wednesday after a courageous battle with cancer.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to noon on Saturday at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 1 p.m. at Evergreen Memorial Park.
She was born in Wayne County to the late Buren C. and Cleo B. Rose.
Mrs. Jones is survived by her husband, Charles Scotty Jones; a son, A.G. Barwick; a daughter, Stacie Barwick Oatman; a sister, Alice R. Sullivan; two stepdaughters, Angela Jones and Jessica Isley; a stepson Kevin Simmons; and five grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kitty Askins Hospice Center, P.O. Box 88, Goldsboro, N.C., 27534.
