DOUGLAS G. JONES

Fuquay-Varina -- Douglas Graham Jones, 76, a faithful husband, father and grandfather went to be with the Lord on Wednesday morning.
Funeral services will be held on tonight at 7 at Calvary Baptist Church, 7900 Ten Ten Road, Raleigh. The family will receive friends prior to the service, beginning at 6 at the church. A committal service, with military honors, will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Fuquay-Varina.
Mr. Jones was the son of the late Clyde and Hattie Jones and was a graduate of Fuquay-Varina High School Class of 1950. He was a retired Air Force Veteran having served for 22 years and was an honorary member of the Needmore Ruritan Club. Together with his wife, they operated the Southern Wake Adult Day Care Center in Fuquay-Varina for 21 years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Glenn Jones and Floyd Jones.
Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Nancy Parrish Jones; son, Dennis G. Jones of Andover, Conn.; daughter, Linda J. Peterson of Goldsboro; grandchildren, Graham Dale Peterson and Jeremy Thomas Peterson; brothers, Herbert Jones and Bobby Jones both of Raleigh.
