ROBERT C. REYNOLDS

Captain Robert Clifton Reynolds, retired U.S.A.F., 66, passed away Sunday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park with full military honors.

Robert was born in Lenoir County on Nov. 3, 1941, to the late Alfred and Ida Reynolds. He served his country in the United States Air Force with 22 years of dedicated service. Robert retired in 1988, with the rank of Captain. While serving his country, Robert was the recipient of the Air Force Commendation Medal with Two Oak Leaf Clusters; the Air Force Outstanding Unit Award with One Oak Leaf Cluster; the Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon; the Air Force Longevity Service Ribbon with Two Oak Leaf Clusters; the National Defense Service Medal; the Air Force Commendation Medal with Three Oak Leaf Clusters; the Air Force Outstanding Unit Award with Two Oak Leaf Clusters; the Air Force Good Conduct Medal with One Oak Leaf Cluster; the Air Force Overseas Short Tour Ribbon with One Oak Leaf Cluster; the Air Force Overseas Long Tour Ribbon; the Air Force Longevity Service Award Ribbon with Four Oak Leaf Clusters; the Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon; and the Air Training Ribbon.

Robert is survived by his wife, Becky Langdon Reynolds; his daughter, Katherine Reynolds-Morris and husband, Albert of Eureka; his son, Robert C. Reynolds Jr. and wife, Ashley of Cary; his sister, Pat Kelly of Newport; his brothers, Victor Reynolds of Morehead City, Doug Reynolds of Florida and Ted Reynolds of Fort Stewart, Ga.; and three grandchildren, Erich Long, Peter Long and Morgan Morris.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Shriner Children's Hospital, P.O. Box 490, New Bern, N.C., 28560.

The family will receive friends following the graveside service at Wayne Memorial Park.

Arrangements are being handled by Seymour Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
