WARSAW -- Charlie James Mathis, 76, 2527 N.C. Highway 24 W., died Friday Oct. 17 at Pitt Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at KEMBA Headquarters with elder Lorenzo Simmons officiating. Burial will follow in the Mathis Cemetery.
He was the son of the late Toomer and Eva Bobbit Mathis.
He is survived by his wife, Inez Harvey Mathis; six children, two sisters, 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A viewing will be held Saturday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Garris Funeral Home Chapel, and the family will be present from 6 to 7 p.m. to receive friends.
