ELLEN LORAINE YELVERTON

Ellen Loraine Yelverton, 78, went to be with the Lord on Oct. 18, 2008.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, Oct. 21, at 2 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Harold Anderson officiating. Burial will follow at Willow Dale Cemetery.
A native of Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Elizabeth "Lizzie" Gurley Smith, and is survived by her husband, Lloyd Yelverton. She was a homemaker and a member of New Hope Church of God.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Yelverton is survived by her five children, Mary and Ken Quick of Aberdeen; Dean and Kathy Combs of Goldsboro; Ricky and Sheila Yelverton of Goldsboro; Joey and Diane Yelverton of Garner; and Jeffrey and Sabrina Yelverton of Alabama. She is also survived by her nine grandchildren as well as 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jean Beagle of Dolan Springs, Ariz.; and 15 brothers and sisters.
The family will receive friends Monday night from 7 until 9 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, and at other times at the home of Dean and Kathy Combs; 115 Farnsworth Drive, Goldsboro, NC 27530.
