THOMAS W. BRITT

PRINCETON -- Thomas Weeks Britt, 82, formerly of Newton Grove, died Sunday.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadeloupe Catholic Church in Newton Grove with father Pat Keane, father Ned Schlesinger, and the Rev. Michael Coppock officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery.
Mr. Britt was a World War II veteran.
His survivors include, his wife Frances P. Britt; daughters and sons-in-law, Sylvia and Bill Giddens, Pam and Tom Giddens all of Newton Grove and Kathy and Don Melcher of Dunn; sons and daughters-in-law; Larry and Sue Britt of Newton Grove and Wayne and Paulette Britt of Apex; sisters, Claudia Warren of Newton Grove and Zilphia Tart of Greensboro; brothers, William Duffy Britt of Havelock and Jospeh Maxton Britt of Manson; stepchildren, Frankie and Tom Talton of Princeton and Lynwood and Barbara Rains of Princeton; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; five step grandchildren and three step great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a wife, Julia Darden Britt and a grandson, Justin Wayne Britt.
The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
