PRINCETON -- James Allen "Bud" Holland, 68, passed away Sunday afternoon at Kitty Askins Hospice Center surrounded by his family.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Fairview Cemetery with the Rev. Tim Strickland officiating.

James was born in Wayne County on Sept. 22, 1940, to the late Charlie James Holland and Esther Hinson Holland. He retired from Firestone with 26 years of service. James served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

James is survived by his wife, Leda Ann Holland; his sons, Roger Holland of Seven Springs and Richard Holland and wife, Christie of Clayton; his step-daughters, Candice Larson and husband, Mike of Goldsboro, Crystal Colie of LaGrange and Beverly Hope Colie of LaGrange; his sisters, Peggy Jean Whaley, Lillie Mae Deaver, Bertha LaRose Evans, Alice Faye Hargrove, Ellen Darlene Pyle, Linda Gray Price and Theresa Ann Capps; his brothers, Charlie Ray Holland, Relmond Ted Holland, Dennis Lee Holland and Ralph Leon Holland; and seven grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Chesley Andrew Holland.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Rouse Funeral Home in LaGrange.
