CHARLOTTE -- Eugene Albert Alphin, 88, died Wednesday.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at 2 p.m. at Rouse Funeral Home. Interment with military honors will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
He was born Oct. 19, 1919, in Lenoir County to the late Albert and Elizabeth Ward Alphin.
He is survived by his wife, Emma Hart Alphin; four children; a brother; two sisters; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends one hour before the service.
Arrangements are being handled by Rouse Funeral Home of LaGrange.
