DONALD KEITH OUTLAW

Donald Keith Outlaw, 74, 335 Donald K. Outlaw Road, Seven Springs, passed away early Sunday morning at Wayne Memorial Hospital surrounded by his family.

A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. at Outlaw's Bridge Universalist Church in Seven Springs. A private graveside will be held at a later date.

Donald Keith was born in Duplin County on Oct. 29, 1933, to the late Gordon and Ethel Outlaw. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a farmer and active member in the community. He was a lifetime member of Outlaw's Bridge Church and retired from the Pricetown Volunteer Fire Department. In recent years, he worked for the Duplin County Waste Recycling Facility. Known as "Unk" to his nieces and nephews, he will be remembered for his kindheartedness, sense of humor, and devotion to his family and friends.

Donald Keith is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Letha Hill Outlaw of the home; his daughter, Pam Pate and husband, Roger of Seven Springs; his son, Mickey Outlaw and wife, Shirley of Seven Springs; his special sister-in law, whom he considered his daughter, Violet Saviak and husband, Mike of Mount Olive; his grandchildren, Jonathan Barwick and wife, Paige of Mount Olive, Alexis Harvell and husband, James of Seven Springs, and Don Outlaw of the home, Mandy Lane and husband, Jason of Mount Olive, and Brandon Pate of Mount Olive; his great-grandchildren, Maddie Quinn, Tabitha and Billy Gallaher; his siblings, Mary Lewis of Goldsboro, Elsie Taylor and husband, R.J. of Albertson, Michael Outlaw and wife, Jean of Fayetteville, and Ivey Outlaw and wife, Dolly, of Seven Springs; his brothers-in-law, Tommy Hill and wife, Dot of Wilmington, Bill Hill and friend, Darlene of Fayetteville, Joe Hill and his wife, Loretta of Pikeville, Douglas Hill and his wife, Joyce of Mount Olive; his canine companion, Odie; and numerous nieces, nephews, family members and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Pattie Outlaw.

The family will receive friends Sunday following the service at the church and other times at the home, 335 Donald K. Outlaw Road, Seven Springs.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in his name to Outlaw's Bridge Universalist Church Memorial Fund, c/o Linda Jones, 3999 Highway 111 N., Albertson, N.C., 28508, the Pricetown Volunteer Fire Department, c/o Michael Price, 2005 Zion Church Road, Mount Olive, N.C., 28365, or the charity of ones choice.
