Ezekiel Dawson, 78, 1104 S. Slocumb St., died Wednesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. at Best Chapel Wayne Baptist Church in Seven Springs with the Rev. William Artis officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park North.
Ezekiel leaves fond and cherished memories to his devoted wife, Lueada Best Dawson of the home; one daughter, Lovely Dawson Forte of Goldsboro; two stepdaughters, Patricia Ann Best and Classie Jane Best Dawson of Goldsboro; two stepsons, Malcom Earl Best of Goldsboro and Sgt. Bobby Eugene Best of Waipahu, Hawaii; two grandchildren, Randall and Anastasia Forte of Goldsboro; four stepgrandchildren; Felicia Best Holmes, Malcom Deonte Best and Tabitha Best of Goldsboro and Bobby Eugene Best Jr.; three stepgreat-grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held today from 2 to 7 p.m. with the family present to receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. at McIntyre Funeral Home Ministries.
The family will assemble at the residence in preparation for the funeral procession.
