H. BRUCE HULSE JR.

Herbert Bruce Hulse Jr., 60, passed away on Wednesday.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church with the Rev. Eugene Carpenter presiding. Inter-ment will follow at Willow Dale Cemetery.

Bruce was born in Wayne County on April 4, 1948, to Rowena Middleton Hulse of Goldsboro and the late Herbert Bruce Hulse Sr. He was a graduate of Wake Forest University, Campbell University and the North Carolina Central Law School.

Bruce was serving the Goldsboro community as an attorney with Hulse and Hulse Law Firm. Bruce was an avid golfer and a master chef and enjoyed working in the garden. He was a member of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church and the Goldsboro Elks Lodge No. 139 B.P.O.E.

In addition to his mother, Bruce is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Johnson Hulse;
his daughters, Alexandra Elizabeth Hulse of Wilming-ton and Ann Reed Hulse of Goldsboro; his son, Herbert Bruce Hulse III of Wilming-ton; his sister, Diana Hulse of Connecticut; and his brother, Brian Geoffrey Hulse and wife, Lee of Goldsboro.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Stephen's Episcopal Church 200 N. James St., Goldsboro, N.C., 27530 or to the Wayne County Humane Society, P.O. Box 821, Goldsboro, N.C., 27533.

Members of the Wayne County Bar Association will serve Saturday as honorary pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Friday at his residence, 303 S. William St., Goldsboro.
