Marvin Creech, 75, died Thursday morning at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 4 p.m. at Grantham Church of God of Prophecy with the Revs. Ralph Parker, Ronnie Massey and Elwin Ford. Burial will follow at Jordan's Chapel Church Cemetery.

He was born in Johnston County to the late Rob and Fannie Creech and was married to the late Christine Thompson Creech. A member of Grantham Church of God of Prophecy, he worked for Arnold-Wilbert Vault Company for 25 years and was a lifetime farmer.

Mr. Creech is survived by one son, Marvin Earl Creech of Grantham; one daughter, Dorothy Creech Lancaster of Grantham; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

The family will be receiving friends Saturday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home and at other times will be at the home of his granddaughter, Lisa Hinson, 3587 Highway 13 S., Goldsboro.
