Mr. Raphael Dixon Jr., 55, lovingly known by his family and friends as "Ralph, Jr.," 508 Walnut St., Apt. 107, departed this life on Thursday to enter into eternal rest.
Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday at 11 a.m. at Goldsboro Chapel Free Will Baptist Church, 1314 Ben Brewington Court, with the Rev. James Collins officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Martin Luther King Blvd. Viewing will be held on Wednesday at Hamilton Funeral Chapel, 423 S. James St., from 1 to 8 p.m.
A wake will be conducted on Wednesday at Hamilton Funeral Chapel from 7 to 8 p.m.
Ralph Jr. was born to Raphael Dixon Sr. and Dazetta Baldwin Dixon on Dec. 2, 1952
His brother, Anthony R. Dixon, preceded him in death.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his daughter, Makayla N. Dixon of Cary; his parents, Raphael and Dazetta Baldwin Dixon of Goldsboro; one sister, Sharon Dixon-Jenkins of Goldsboro; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
At other times, the family will receive friends and other family members at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Raphael Dixon, 509 Weaver Drive, Goldsboro, N.C., 27530.
