Laura Mae Jackson, 79, 907 Cunningham Road, died Thursday at Kinston Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.
Funeral services will be held today at 3 p.m. at Mills Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Mills Memorial Garden.
She is survived by her five daughters, Laura Davis, Sharon Ervin and Darlene Berry of Kinston, Eldress Fannie Ricketts of Smyrna, Del., and Gwendolyn Morrison of New Bern; four sons, Jessie Jackson Jr. of Snow Hill, Samuel Lee Jackson of LaGrange, Michael Anthony Jackson and Isaiah Jackson of Goldsboro; and 13 grandchildren.
A viewing was held on Saturday at 3 p.m. at Mills Funeral Home Inc. A wake was held on Saturday at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
