MATTHEW B. STEWART
Died Sept. 17, 2008
PRINCETON -- Matthew Brandon "Matt" Stewart, 17, died Wednesday evening from injuries received in an automobile accident.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Princeton Church of God with the Rev. Rod Trusty officiating. The family will received friends immediately following the service.
A Princeton High School Senior, "Big Country" was the starting offensive right tackle for the Bulldogs, was on the wrestling team and the track team, but his lifelong love was riding horses.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ernest and Hattie Stewart of Princeton.
Surviving are his parents, Danny R. and Julie Stewart; brother, Forrest Stewart of the home; maternal grandparents, Mary and Bill Woodside of Durham; maternal great grandmother, Irene Maynor of Durham; a very special cousin, Steven Stewart and special friend Kristen Parker.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Princeton Church of God Youth Group, P.O. Box 546, Princeton, N.C., 27569.
