MARILYN H. PERRIN

Died Sept. 13, 2008

GREENSBORO -- Mrs. Marilyn Handley Perrin, 80, Kery Drive, died Saturday at her home.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Forbis and Dick, N. Elm Chapel. Burial will follow at Westminster Gardens.

Mrs. Perrin was born May 14, 1928, in Goldsboro to the late Albert and Elizabeth Dorrity Handley. She retired after 35 years and a bookkeeper for Brewer Paint Company.

She was preceded in death by her husband George Perrin Jr. in 1968, a son George Edward Perrin III and a sister Annette Goelz.

Her survivors include a son, Albert Thomas Perrin and wife Jo of Wilmington; daughter, Michelle Brake and husband William "Buddy" of Greensboro; one brother, Albert Handley of Greensboro; four sisters, Margaret Smiley and husband Frank of Goldsboro, Elizabeth Gillikin and husband Bobby of Goldsboro, June Howell and husband Charlie of Goldsboro and Ruby Lewis and husband Emmanuel of Scotia, N.Y.; eight grandchildren, George and Jeremy Perrin, Tiffany Newton and Renee Pinae and Michael, Melissa, Kristy and Brian Hazelwood; 10 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the funeral service at Forbis and Dick, N. Elm St.
