C. LOU BOWDEN ASBILL

DUDLEY -- Carrie Lou Bowden Asbill, 73, Fox Drive, passed away at her residence surrounded by her family Thursday evening.

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk funeral home with the Rev. Johnny Sasser and the Rev. Vernon Braswell officiating. Burial will follow at Wayne Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Saturday at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home from 7 to 9 p.m.

She was the daughter of the late Willie Herman Bowden and Mamie D. Bowden and wife of Gibson "Bill" Asbill.

In addition to her husband Mrs. Asbill is survived by sons, James William Asbill of Greenville, Warren David Asbill of Dudley, and Ross Major Asbill of Greenville; step-sons, Harvey Ray Asbill and Wyman Asbill both of Nashville, Tenn.; a brother, Johnny Bowden of Dudley; a sister, Cleone King of Mount Olive; eight grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; and five step-great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial donations be directed to Mount Olive College.
