WILLIAM W. LATOU

LAGRANGE -- William Wilson "Bill" Latou, 84, died Saturday in Naples, Fla.

A service of remembrance will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Rouse Funeral Home with the Rev. Brad Mitchell officiating.

Mr. Latou was born May 12, 1924, in Fredericksburg, Ohio to the late William Latto Latou and Laura Benson Lee. He graduated from Akron East High School in 1942 and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He served in the 666th Field Artillery Battalion and fought in the Battle Of The Bulge.

Mr. Latou graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree from Akron University. He was a retired chemist from Joy Manufacturing now known as Crouse-Hinds Molded Products.

Mr. Latou was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Mae Wayne Latou; brother, John Latou; and two half-brothers, Andrew and Stewart Latou.

Mr. Latou is survived by two daughters, Bernice Latou and husband, Bill Grimes-Wyatt of Baltimore, Paula Kay Latou Mercer of Baltimore; brother, Richard T. Lee of Cuyoga Falls, Ohio; sister, Jennie Lou Hensley of Willoughby Hills, Ohio; along with many dear nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Rouse Funeral Home. Online condolences may be expressed at www.rousefh.com.
