SEVEN SPRINGS -- Travis Lee James, 49, 1016 Drummersville Road, succumbed to the silent halls of death from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident on Sunday at Wake Medical Center.

Homegoing services will be held on Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Bear Creek Association Building, 1800 S. Slocumb St., with Elder Antonio Blow officiating. Burial will follow in Carver Memorial Park in Mount Olive.

Travis, affectionately called "Trabo" by his family and friends, was known for his love of truck driving. In CB lingo, he was known as "roller coaster."

Trabo leaves a legacy of love to his parents, David and Dorothy James of Seven Springs; his fiancé, Samantha McAllister of St. Paul; one daughter, Ashley Wellington of Alexandria, Va.; six brothers, Larry James of Dudley, Kerry Lofton of Mount Olive, Jerry Whitfield of Charlotte, Gabriel Whitfield of Dudley, Eric Forbes of Kinston and Jeffrey Moses of Raleigh; six sisters, Donnie Broadhurst of Dudley, Jean McKiver of Seven Springs, Felisa James of Goldsboro, Gloria Sheppard of Raleigh, Letrice Whitfield of Dudley and Carol Stevens of Wilson.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2 to 6 p.m. at McIntyre Funeral Home Ministries. The family will receive friends at the residence where they will also assemble in preparation for the funeral procession.
