JEAN C. BARNETTE

Sherva Jean Capps Barnette, 66, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 31, 2008, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Dennis Pollock officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
Jean was born in Wayne County on March 7, 1942, to Hilda Hines Capps of Goldsboro and the late Jerry Capps. She was married to the late Jesse Barnette and Ed Bundy. Jean was a retired health care technician with O'Berry Center.
In addition to her mother, Jean is survived by her son, Edwin Lamar Bundy and wife, Kim, of Hookerton; her sister, Jeri Peyton of Goldsboro; her grandchildren, Jimmy Bundy, Michael Joseph Wayne Hudson, Stephanie Hudson, Ashley McKinley and husband, Steven, and Tatum Bundy; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home.
