DAVID L. WARRICK

AUTRYVILLE -- David Leslie "Toot" Warrick, 78 of 4719 Maxwell Road, died Sunday at Sampson Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 4 p.m. at Mt. Carmel Church of God, with the Rev. Warren Barfield and Mr. Melvin Warrick officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

Born in Wayne County, he was the son of the late Emmett and Maybelle Bordeaux Warrick. A member of Mt. Carmel Church of God, he was a retired truck driver with United Van Lines for 10 years.

Mr. Warrick is survived by his wife, Evelyn Goodman Warrick; two sons, David Warrick of Autryville and Melvin Warrick of Augusta, Ga.; a daughter, Catherine Knowles of Salemburg; a brother, Haywood Warrrick of Concord; four sisters, Mae W. Shumate of Dudley, Edna W. Breshears of Goldsboro, Christine W. Smith of Goldsboro, and Shirley Knowles of Autryville; 11 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

Family members will greet friends Monday evening from 7 until 9 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home in Goldsboro and Tuesday evening from 7 until 9 p.m. at Mt. Carmel Church of God in Autryville. At other times, the family will be at the home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Warrick Family at 4719 Maxwell Road, Autryville, N.C. 28318.
