SALLIE L. WARD

Sallie Rae Lane Ward, 71, passed away on Tuesday at Pitt Memorial Hospital.
Graveside services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Wayne County Cemetery.
Sallie was born in Pamlico County on Nov. 18, 1937, to the late Andrew Lane and Rosa Lee Williams Lane. She lived in Wayne County for many years and had a great love for fishing and caring for her grandchildren.
Sallie is survived by her children, James Michael Hargrove of Mount Olive, Rosa Helen Hargrove of Mount Olive, Terry Lisa Ward of Goldsboro and Jennifer Ward Willis of Goldsboro; her brothers, Charles Lane and Jerry Lane; 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Donald Ray Baxter.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 10 to 10:30 a.m. at Seymour Funeral Home.
