DUDLEY -- Jimmie Woodrow Eason, 69, passed away on Sunday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with Bishop Gary C. Corbett presiding. Burial will follow at Wayne Memorial Park.

Jimmie was born in Wayne County on Jan. 31, 1939, to the late Woodrow Eason and Ann Brown Eason. He owned and operated Woody's Appliance in Dudley.

Jimmie is survived by his wife, Sue Eason; his children, James Arthur Eason of Texas, John Patrick Eason and wife, Melissa Lynn of Goldsboro and Hannah Suzanne Eason of the home; his grandchildren, Jarrett Conner Eason and Penelope Kristina Eason; his brother, Norwood Earl Eason of Wrightsville Beach; and his sisters, JoAnn E. Marriner and husband, Brooks of Dudley and Sheila Joyce Davis and husband Billy of Leland.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Jewel Eason and his brother, Durwood Ray Eason.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Caring for Chris Fund, The Heritage Bank, P.O. Box 99, Pikeville, N.C., 27863 or the Arthritis Foundation, 200 E. Woodlawn Road, Suite, 156, Charolotte, N.C., 28217.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home.
