LOIS P. MITCHELL
Died Aug. 10, 2008
Mrs. Lois Pittman Mitchell, 73, of 3705 Central Heights Road, went to be with her Lord and Savior Sunday at the Sterling House. A native of Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late Oscar Pittman and Zettie Bass Pittman. Mrs. Mitchell was a homemaker and had also retired from Barry’s. She was a member of Woods Grove Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be 7 p.m. Tuesday at Woods Grove PFWB Church with the Rev. Mike Grady officiating. Interment will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, Grover Mitchell; sons, the Rev. Jerry Mitchell and wife, Diane, Ronnie Mitchell and wife, Carolyn, and Don Mitchell and wife, Lori, all of Goldsboro; grandchildren, Brad, Gabe, Tyler and Casey Mitchell, April Shaffer and Tonya Slagle; seven great-grandchildren; and her sister, Christine Mitchell of Goldsboro.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers.
The Mitchell family would like to extend a very special thank you to the Sterling House staff for their care and love given to Mrs. Lois and her family.
The family will receive friends Tuesday following the service at the church and will be at the residence at other times.
The family is being served by Seymour Funeral Home.
