RICHARD C. DAVIS
A family burial service was held in Elmwood Cemetery for Richard C. Davis, 49, on Friday. He had served aboard the U.S.S. Spartanburg County while in the Navy.
Surviving him is his mother, Ruth Williamson Davis Dowdy Jernigan and husband, Jimmy, of Fremont; his father, Lawton Davis and wife, Faye, of Middlesex; brothers, Mickey Davis of Fremont and the Rev. Merrill Davis and his wife, Marilyn, of Wilson; and several nieces and nephews.
