WILSON -- Mr. Charles B. Reid, 88, of 404 South Pine St., Fremont, departed this life Friday at Wilson Medical Center, Wilson.
Charles was born to the late Burrell Reid and Trecy Braswell Reid on May 17, 1920. Also, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sue Forte Reid.
Mr. Reid leaves to cherish his memory three daughters, Cynthia Bass (James Earl) of Goldsboro, Linda Watson (Charles) of Selma and Margie Lewis (Christopher) of Fremont; one sister-in-law, Clara Reid; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday from the Elm Grove Church of Christ Disciples Of Christ, 118 Booker Street, Pikeville, with Pastor Kenneth D. Vaughn officiating. Burial will follow in the Coley Cemetery, Pikeville. A viewing will be held from 1 to 8:15 p.m. Friday at Hamilton Funeral Chapel, 423 S. James Street, Goldsboro. Also, a wake will be conducted from 7:15 to 8:15 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Chapel.
At other times, the family will receive friends and other family members at the resident, 404 South Pine Street, Fremont.
