Shelby Skinner Allegood, 70, of Goldsboro, died Monday.

Graveside services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at Fairview Cemetery with the Rev. James Williams officiating.

Shelby was born Feb. 27, 1938 in Wilson County to the late Mallie and Nettie Davis Skinner. She was preceded in death by a son, Hobe Hamm; and a brother, Ed Skinner. Shelby retired from North Carolina Vocational Rehabilitation following 30 years of service. In 1985, Shelby established Touch Of Class Models and Talent where as owner/director she enjoyed helping others discover and nourish their inner talents.

Shelby is survived by a daughter, Ann Ham and husband, Jay of LaGrange; son, Tim Hamm and wife, Gena of Clayton; four grandchildren, Amanda Hamm, Aaron Hamm, Brittany Ham and Kyle Ham; and a sister-in-law, Ruth Skinner of Wilson.

The family will receive friends following the graveside service at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jay Ham, 867 Dyke Smith Road, LaGrange. Online condolences may be expressed at www.rousefh.com.
