LAGRANGE -- Margaret Youngblood Hardy, 88, 3084 Byrd Road, died Sunday.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Rouse Funeral Home, with Dr. Mallie Hinnant officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
Mrs. Hardy was born in Johnston County to the late Paul and Effie Casey Youngblood. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Holton Hardy. Mrs. Hardy was a member of Institute United Methodist Church and the La Grange Garden Club.
Mrs. Hardy is survived by her daughter, Mary Anne Dawson and husband, Wiley, of LaGrange; three granddaughters, Sara, Hannah and Emily Dawson; sister, Anne McArthur of Goldsboro; along with several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Rouse Funeral Home. At other times, they will be at her home.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Mrs. Hardy's caregivers who have provided loving care and support.
