CHRISTINE V. BARROW

Christine Valoras Barrow, 87, a resident of Kirkwood Retirement Community, passed away Saturday morning at Kitty Askins Hospice Center surrounded by her family.
Christine was born in Pittsburg, Mass., on Sept. 26, 1920, to the late George Valoras and Stella Columbus Valoras. She retired from Americal.
The family will receive friends Monday from 1 to 2 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home followed by the funeral at 2 p.m. Robert Goff and Lennie Reagan will officiate. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.
Christine is survived by her son, Jimmy Butts and wife, Sandra, of Goldsboro; her daughter, Mary Ann Corbett and husband, Gary, of Snow Hill; her special friend, Marquita Wallace of Goldsboro; one half-sister; five grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her loving church family at Oak Forest Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Arthur Valoras.
The family would like to express their thanks to the staff of Kitty Askins Hospice Center for their compassionate care during Mrs. Barrow's declining health.
