Sandra Kirby Ingram, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, teacher and friend, passed away on Wednesday.
Receiving for family and friends will be held at Seymour Funeral Home at noon on Saturday. Funeral services will commence at 2 p.m., with interment in the Edmundson Cemetery to follow. The Rev. Judy Drye will officiate.
Sandra was born in Wayne County, daughter of the late Fred Kirby and Mollie Edmundson Kirby. She graduated from Charles B. Aycock High School and from Atlantic Christian College. Sandra became a teacher and taught for 25 years.
She is survived by her husband of 42 years, J.R. Ingram; her children, David Burrell Ingram and wife, Lindsey Gibbons Ingram of Durham and Betsy Ingram Jenkins and husband, Jason Jenkins of Pikeville, one grandson, James Austin Jenkins of Pikeville; and by many loved aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
