Martha Braswell Worley, 87, Howell Road near Princeton, died Wednesday.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home in Princeton. Burial will be Friday in the Pearce Cemetery near Selma.

Born in Johnston County on Dec. 2, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Dora Johnson Braswell. Her husband was the late Wilbert O. "Dick" Worley. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Roland Braswell and Rudolph Braswell.

She was a longtime member of the Princeton Church of God.

Survivors of Mrs. Worley include her son, James Wilbert Worley and wife Billie Michelle of Princeton; daughters, Marie Lewis and husband David of Pikeville, Alice Wadsworth and friend Woody Woodruff of Smithfield; brother, George Braswell of Bristol, Tenn.; grandchildren, Dolly Evans, Amy Hodge, Keith Sullivan, Tina Fields, Holly Martin and Damien Worley; and great-grandchildren, Hunter Evans, Katie Almon, Hailey Hodge, Savannah Fields, Emma Hodge, Gracie Sullivan and Blake Martin.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening immediately after the funeral service.
