RUDY G. CHASE

SNOW HILL -- Rudy Gene Chase, 65, 501 Gray's Mill Road, died Tuesday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

At Rudy's request, no public service will be held. A private burial will take place at a later date.

Rudy was born in Greene County to the late Floyd and Bertha Mae Sauls Chase. He was preceded in death by a son, Rudy Gene Chase Jr.; and a stepson, Robert Alex Hill. Rudy worked as a carpenter by trade and was a member of Mount Calvary Free Will Baptist Church, Hookerton. He enjoyed fishing and gardening.

Rudy is survived by his wife, Aldine Pittman Chase; two sons, Glenn Carson Chase and Bobby Ray Chase, both of Snow Hill; two step-sons, Al Hill of Daytona Beach, Fla., and Alton Hill of Palm Coast, Fla.; brother, Bronnie Chase of Snow Hill; three sisters, Elva Phillips, Diane Harrison and Evelyn Brann, all of Snow Hill; four grandchildren and two stepgrandchildren.

Rudy's family would like to express their appreciation to Rudy's friend and fishing buddy, Ernest Sugg of Kinston, and to the staff of Kitty Askins Hospice Center for their loving care and support.

Memorials may be made to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 2402 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, N.C., 27534.

Arrangements are being handled by Rouse Funeral Home of LaGrange.
