Shelton Cox, 53, a resident of O'Berry Center in Goldsboro, died June 24 at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
The funeral will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Walter Sanders Funeral Home Chapel, 302 S. Brightleaf Blvd., Smithfield.
Visitation will be Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home chapel.
He was the son of the late Ben Cox and Nellie Walden.
