Lawrence Earl Harper, 71, 242 Old N.C. 111 Hwy, died Wednesday at his home.
The funeral will be held Friday at 8 p.m. at Cromartie Miller and Lee Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Jeremy Pope officiating. A graveside service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Roselawn Cemetery in Benson.
He was born April 8, 1937, in Cumberland County, son of the late Earl Owen Harper of Johnson County. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Faye Hall Harper.
He is survived by a daughter.
The family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 8 p.m. at Cromartie Miller and Lee Funeral Home in Dunn one hour prior to the funeral.
