FAYETTEVILLE -- The Rev. Joseph Sturdevant, 69, died Thursday at Cape Fear Valley Hospital.
The funeral will be held at Rockfish A.M.E. Church, 167 Cornwallis Road, in Teachey Saturday at 3 p.m., with Elder Evelyn Dunn officiating. Burial will follow at Duplin Memorial Gardens in Teachey.
His survivors include his wife, Martha S. Sturdevant of Fayetteville, and eight children.
The family will receive friends Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Rose Hill Funeral Home, 472 Wells Town Road in Rose Hill.
